Group Botswana and Zimbabwe Photo Safari 2024

I appreciated being met at the airport in Joburg and escorted to my hotel. Victoria Falls Safari Lodge was great, I enjoyed the river cruise and the singing was wonderful.

I enjoyed Siduli Hide and Dean teaching us about the various animals and birds we were shooting.  The experience with the elephant was scary and exciting, thankfully we all survived, and still had our sense of humor. The Vulture Feeding was amazing, fascinating, weird and disgusting all at the same time.  And so sad that it is necessary to counteract poachers. Victoria Falls was so much more than I thought it was. Beautiful.  The Boma Drum and Buffet was interesting and enjoyable.

Somalisa Camp was great. The welcome was wonderful with the singing. I really enjoyed the warm washcloths upon our return to camp, after the dusty game drive.  Calvert was an excellent guide and driver, very informative and patient.  Mo was also good. The host and staff were so nice, helpful, and friendly.  One of my favorites of the trip was the waterhole where we saw all the Cape Buffalo and the Elephants and the lioness that came at dusk. That was an amazing experience. The morning tea and coffee as well as the sundowners were great.  The tea/coffee and snack stops had great timing-just getting a little hungry after the adventure of the morning.  And the sundowners a nice respite before going back to camp.

Ghoha Hills: Beautiful tents and lovely main lodge. I took advantage of the laundry service, it was very nice. The guides were great. I also took advantage of the spa, amazing!  The one drawback was that we had to be back earlier at Ghoha Hills than the other camps. The food was excellent.

Machaba Champ: The reference wilderness guide book that was on the desk in my tent would have been nice to have at the first camp or even at Vic Falls.  Was surprised that they put ashes under the chairs at dinner to help keep warm.  I might do that this fall at home around a campfire.  Everything was very good here as well.

Overall the trip was amazing, well planned. We had the option to join drives or not at every place. The food was superb everywhere we went.

Brent was amazing. So helpful and willing to answer questions and make sure we were getting shots. I know my photography improved immensely.  The gifts you gave us were appropriate and very helpful.  I also appreciated having a way to communicate via WhatsApp.

It was great having everything included. Not having been to Africa or on a safari, not sure if there is an option for a slightly less expensive option?  I totally enjoyed the high end glamping, and I know that might be intentional to make sure you offer a great experience. So many places to visit in the world.  Africa did get a permanent place in my heart as well the people I met on safari.
