Adventure seekers and sightseers can also participate in popular activities like scenic flights over Vic Falls, white-water rafting (seasonal), and day trips to Hwange National Park.

As one of Africa’s most iconic game-viewing regions, Mana Pools National Park offers exceptional wildlife encounters with the life-giving power of the Zambezi River, an amazing waterway that adds to the area’s striking scenic beauty. Game drives and guided walks offer countless opportunities to get up close and personal with numerous species, including members of the Big 5 and various plain’s game. Most notably, Mana Pools is home to the wild dog pack featured in David Attenborough’s “Dynasties”, and the famous elephant “Boswell”.

Further south in the park lies the Zambezi Escarpment, surrounded by unexplored areas. The Chitake Gorge features large boulders shaped by centuries of floodwaters and springs that provide water in the dry season. This area is home to mammals, birds, and plants unique only to the area, and not found in other areas of the concession. Further downstream, the riverine forests along the Chitake and Mhara rivers offer cool shade from towering Mahoganies and Sausage trees, where the thick vegetation supports a vibrant insect life, attracting rare birds like the African Pitta in the green season.
