South Lungwa National Park
South Luangwa is a remote wilderness experience and therefore doesn’t have the mass tourism associated with some other National Parks in Africa.
South Luangwa is renowned for its thriving mammal populations. Large herds of elephants elegantly navigate the open savannah and riverbanks. The park is also home to formidable predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, which make for exciting photographic opportunities as they hunt during the day. On a walking safari in Zambia you are truly able to get into the wild, cut yourself off from everything out there and really experience nature at its finest
With over 400 recorded bird species, South Luangwa is a haven for bird photography. The park’s diverse habitats attract resident and migratory birds, Some highlights include the lilac-breasted rollers, numerous bee-eaters and not forgetting the mighty raptors.
