8 Day Itinerary

day 1- 4
This exclusive photo safari begins at a lodge 5 minutes from Kasane Airport situated on a plateau overlooking the Caprivi floodplains and the Chobe River below where you will stay for the next 3 nights.
A choice of Photographing on the water allows for a dust-free environment. It provides an eye-level perspective for capturing wildlife and bird behaviour in a way that can’t be achieved on land. Large numbers of mammals and birds abound in this area with a stunning backdrop of the river creating clean, uncluttered backgrounds for the images you’ll take to last a lifetime. This Chobe River Photo Safari is a must for any photographic enthusiasts.
While in the Chobe, we will focus mainly on the Chobe River with one or two game drives in the Chobe National Park. There will be only game drives in The Okavango, so we rather focus on water-based photo opportunities in The Chobe. You will see plenty of elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, water birds, fish eagles, plenty of plains game and on occasion a big cat sneaking down to the river ! Big cats are more regularly seen in the Delta – our next destination – but we have had some incredible sightings of lions and leopards from the photo boats too which is very special.
In the Chobe, we will do one morning and one-afternoon activity with a group image review session in between. For these, it’s advised to bring your laptop (as well as the editing software of your choice pre-loaded).

Day 4 – 8
A charter flight takes you down to the Delta Camp for the next stage of your dream safari.
Participate in land-based game drives – this specially equipped 4×4 reserved for your group guarantees each photographer access to both sides allowing for freedom of movement and plenty of room for your gear.
There will be photo hosts available on each game drive providing professional guidance with everything from suggestions on composition, and camera settings to capturing the best images and tips for anticipating African wildlife behaviour.

Delta Camp
At a personally selected Okavango Delta Camp, there are cameras and lenses to use and memory cards are supplied free of charge too. Your photo host is on hand during game drives to assist you with your photography and also with afternoon image review sessions in the editing tent (own laptops required). The editing tent is a great place for group post-production sessions and to store and recharge camera gear.
Night Drives – Being on a private concession affords the flexibility to off-road at special sightings as well as conduct night drives. Being exclusive meal times are totally flexible to suit the day’s activities. When conditions are right with the lunar cycle and climatic conditions at their optimum guides head out and do star photography at night.
4 nights of adventure at this exclusive camp with walk-in Meru-style tents, proper comfortable beds, clothes storage, a good electricity supply as well as an en-suite bucket shower with a flushing toilet. !
On the final morning of your safari, you will board a charter flight to Maun. Everyone then will go their own separate ways with memories to last a lifetime and images to reflect back on for years.
Continue onward with your own arrangements.
